Thank You Thank You Thank You
As we enter into the fall season, I often think about how thankful I am to live in the greatest country in the world. Having traveled to more than 100 countries, I can testify to the things we take for granted until we can’t get them. For example, in communist Cuba, they still use food rations, although the government tells visitors that Cuba doesn’t use them anymore. In Europe, a glass of water does not contain ice. When one asks for ice, they only get 2-3 cubes at the most. In Egypt, the call to prayer by the Muslims will wake you up at all hours of the night when you are obtaining a good night of rest.
In America, when we need food, we can buy it at the grocery stores even though the cost may not be as good as we need or want. When you ask for a drink, you automatically get ice unless you ask for no ice. When you are resting at night, there are no call to prayer by the Muslims “unless your county or city has allowed them.” We are so blessed to live in America.
So I ask you today, instead of grumbling about high prices, please be thankful you have a house to live in, a car to drive, food on your table and clothes on your back. There are people in much worse shape. Be Thankful! We could have it much worse. We will have it much worse if Islamic politicians take control of the American government. Research your candidates. Don’t vote for them just because you like the way they look or how “nice” they are. Vote November 3rd all the way down the ballot.

Greater Houston Council of Federated Republican Women
The Greater Houston Council of Federated Republican Women is a coalition of 38 Federated Republican Women’s Clubs in 13 surrounding counties of Houston. The Fort Bend Republican Women's Club is a part of this coalition. GHC works with TFRW and NFRW by coordinating and supporting its Member Clubs and encouraging them through program and membership growth. A goal of GHC is to elect Republicans to office on a local and national level. GHC supports Grassroots activities that educate and motivate women to be activists and involved in all elections.
